I hope this correspondence finds you and your families well and happy.
It’s been quite a while since the Murton Lodge of Perfection has gathered in person due to the recent pandemic. More than two years of Masonic zoom meetings and greatly reduced personal interaction has taken its toll on our families and fraternity; and broken up our long standing traditions of Degree presentations in our Lodge of Perfection, our craft lodges and in other Masonic bodies.
The directors of our degrees are constantly challenged with keeping casts together, especially for degrees that are not at every session. The two-year gap due to the pandemic will be especially challenging for all of us to put together and portray the wonderful and professional degree presentations for our candidates.
For this reason and as Masonry starts to ramp up in our lodges and other Masonic bodies, the decision was made to restart your Murton Lodge of Perfection in the fall of 2022.
Our first reunion back will be modified in order to give directors and cast members a chance to get their casts together and to allow the officers to ease into their new chairs after a two-year hiatus.
We have scheduled our Balloting Assembly for Monday, October 24, 2022 followed by our Fall Reunion on Saturday, October 29, 2022. We are moving to a one-day format for this session and will be presenting only the compulsory degrees and compulsory obligations. The degrees we will present are the 4th, 5th, 7th, 13th and 14th. We are hoping that there will not be any pandemic restrictions preventing us from moving forward as normally as possible. We are hoping to include a luncheon and a dinner in the program with guest speakers to enlighten us in the craft. Not presenting the non-compulsory degrees at this Reunion will allow directors to draw from those casts, if needed.
I hope and encourage you, my Brethren, to make a special effort to attend this opening Fall Reunion. Let’s make our Cathedral come alive again and give support to our new candidates. The degrees, ring and/or collar you received on your journey through the Scottish Rite should not be sitting in a closet or shoe box, but be worn with pride while attending and witnessing the degrees presented in our beautiful facility. I very much look forward to seeing you in the fall.
Murton Lodge of Perfection congratulates Ill. Bros. Kenneth E. Brisbois, Edward N. Cambridge, Randall G. Hayes, Alexander H. MacMillan, Michael R. Martin and J.E. Denis Paquette on receiving the degree of Honorary Inspector-General of the Thirty-third Degree in Hamilton on March 26, 2022.

In closing Brethren, may the G.A.O.T.U. watch over you and your families. May he especially comfort and bless those who are lonely, ill, shut in or distressed.
